Industrias Negromex began an investigation of Emulsion SBR dumping into Mexico. The producer reports that they have detected several imports mainly from North America which potentially might disrupt the market.

“We believe in an open market and free competition, but we won’t allow unfair practices that will damage the value of the market in Mexico”.

The volume of product sold below what is considered a “fair market value” increased considerably in the second trimester of 2009.

The company might file a complaint before Mexican authorities and will look for sanctions if such practices continue in coming months.

Industrias Negromex has multipurpose synthetic rubber plant, strategically located in one of the most important Industrial sites in Mexico. The plant has an annual capacity of 120,000 tons of Emulsion SBR and 30,000 tons of NBR.
